In the News Carmen Maquilon to be honored

Carmen Maquilon, Director of Immigrant Services at Catholic Charities, will be honored by CARECEN for her decade and a half of devoted service to the immigrant community on Long Island. Carmen not only spearheads the delivery of legal and social service for the Diocese of Rockville Centre, she also plays leadership roles in the New York Immigration Coalition, the Long Island Immigrant Alliance, and Long Island Wins. She will receive her award at a gala dinner on November 19. For ticket info or to take out an ad, call Mirna Cortes at 516-489-8330 Monday to Thursday.
