Blog IR-1105: Your Assignment This Weekend

Now that legislators offices have begun closing for the weekend, here is what we are asking immigrant rights supporters to do over the weekend.

1. Tell your friends, your church, your union, etc. what is happening and ask them to attend one of the two vigils Monday at legislators' offices and make sure to get people to turnout for the 9:30 AM hearing at the Legislature on Tuesday.

2. e-mail our "appeals", targetted letters for different sectors, to your friends and colleagues.

3. e-mail and FAX your legislator urgning him or her to vote against IR-1105

I will provide any future updates on Saturday afternoon and Sunday evening. Make sure to check in Monday morning for the latest on this fight to preserve basic human dignity for immigrant families.
