Blog Where Do the Presidential Candidates Stand on Immigration Anyways?

It is now 33 days until the election and if you are little confused where the Presidential candidates stand on immigration, take a number. It always seems that the closer we get to Election Day, the less answers we get about the issues that affect our lives on a daily basis. Add in the economic mess we're in, and comprehensive immigration reform becomes a backseat topic.

This election is monumental and voters need to be educated on the issues that are most important to them. Below is a compiled list of resources that may help decipher Barack Obama and John McCain's positions on topics related to immigration.

And a reminder...The last day for voter registration in New York is Friday, October 10th (your registration can't be postmarked later than that and must be received by Board of Elections no later than October 15th). Ask everyone you know if they are registered. Print out some voter registration forms and carry some with you in your bag and car for the next week. Contact your local NAACP or League of Women Voters for registration drives that you could help for an hour or two.

It's a shame that McCain threw away all his credibility in the immigration reform issue when he flipped flopped left and right during the primaries. Because of that, he's now paying the price, with pro immigration groups like America's Voice going after him with ads.
