You already invite your friends, neighbors, and coworkers to your house for birthdays and holidays. So why not host a gathering that gets people talking about one of the most important issues in our community: immigration? It will be fun—we promise.
Long Island Wins will help you plan your house party so that it will be educational without putting your guests to sleep (We’ve got board games!). Someone from LIW will meet with you one-on-one to go over all of your party needs, such as how to determine a good date for the get-together, how make a party plan, the best way to invite your friends and neighbors, and whether or not you’d like to provide any speakers to enrich the experience.
Now more than ever, it’s important to talk about ways we can engineer a Long Island that works for everyone, immigrants and native-born alike. We are currently asking Long Islanders to host parties in support of comprehensive immigration reform. For more info on immigration reform, click here.
