Nassau NYCLU 49th Annual September Party

You’re invited to the 49th Annual September Party, a fundraiser to support the New York Civil Liberties Union.

This year’s guest of honor is Amy Goodman, the host and executive producer of Democracy Now!, a national, daily, independent, award-winning news program airing on more t…han 800 TV and radio stations in North America. Goodman is the author of four New York Times bestsellers, including her latest book, Breaking the Sound Barrier, a compilation of stories about ordinary people standing up and speaking out, from community organizers in New Orleans, to courageous American soldiers who’ve said “No” to Washington’s wars, to the victims of torture and police violence. The winner of numerous national and international awards, Goodman’s work has been called “crusading journalism at it’s best.”
