Rally Against SB 1070 When AZ Diamondbacks Come to Town

6 pm on Friday, July 30h rally outside of CitiField in Queens, the home of the New York Mets baseball team. That evening, the Arizona Diamondbacks will be in town to play the Mets. The demonstration will demand that the 2011 All-Star Game be moved out of Arizona to protest recent apartheid-like racial profiling laws in that state. The ownership of the team is closely connected to the folks who pushed through SB 1070 The rally is sponsored by 1199SEIU, SEIU Local 32BJ, Latino Sports, the Latino Sports Writers Association, and the New York Immigration Coalition.
