- The Center for Traditional Music & Dance, World Music Institute and NY Gypsy Festival
On Sunday September 26 from 3pm-7pm, as part of the Center for Traditional Music & Dance, World Music Institute and NY Gypsy Festival, The Black Sea Roma Festival will be featuring The Black Sea Roma Festival Featuring Mahala Rai Banda, Selim Sesler, The NY Gypsy All-Stars, Tescoi Banda and The Yuri Yunakov Ensemble. The musicians are from the Clejani and Zece Prajini Romanian villages, and include the twelve-member Roma (Gypsy) band Mahala Rai Banda, Turkish Rom (Gypsy) clarinetist Selim Sesler who will be joined onstage by the NY Gypsy All-Stars, family fiddle band Tescoi Banda, and the famous Bulgarian saxophonist Yuri Yunakov. Admission is free.
