Welcoming Long Island is an affiliate of Welcoming America, a grassroots-driven collaborative that works to promote understanding and respect between recent immigrants and their U.S.-born neighbors. The ultimate goal is to ensure that our communities remain a place that welcomes and appreciates newcomers from other countries. As a part of this national network, Welcoming Long Island is connected to 13 active campaigns across the country and thousands of grassroots community members who support the values of the campaign and have signed the Welcoming Pledge.
