Armed Protesters Show Up Outside Phoenix Courthouse

Hundreds of opponents of Arizona’s new anti-immigrant law, SB 1070, are outside the Federal Courthouse in Phoenix carrying paper doves and rosary beads. Only about 30 supporters of the law are there, but their presence is magnified because many of them are openly carrying firearms. A large contingent of police are present to keep order while oral arguments continue in the second of three lawsuits against SB 1070.
