While much of our attention has been focused the last month on federal immigration reform, we are also renewing our campaign for the New York State DREAM Act. This legislation would allow students who graduate from New York high schools to access the state’s Tuition Assistance Program (TAP) which provides small grants to help pay for college. The immediate target is to get Gov. Cuomo to talk about the New York State DREAM Act in his State of the State Address on January 9, 2012. The New York immigration coalition has prepared a simple script for you to use. Please make the call today.

CALL GOVERNOR CUOMO to ask him to support extending the Tuition Assistance Program (TAP) to undocumented students in his State of the State on January9th.

DIAL 1-866-584-0773 (TOLL-FREE CALL)

“Hi my name is ___________ and I live _____________. I am calling to urge the Governor to make state level DREAM Legislation, which would extend TAP toundocumented youth, a priority in his State of the State Address on January 9th.”
