Detective to Return to Stand Today for Further Cross Examination

Detective McLeer, the last prosecution witness in the Marcelo Lucero murder trial, will return to the stand today to finish cross examination. McCleer took the signed, handwritten confession of accused killer Jeffrey Conroy.

Yesterday afternoon, Conroy’s lawyer raised the possibility that Conroy’s admitted stabbing of Marcelo Lucero had been accidental.
