DREAM Act Backers Around the Nation Rally as Bill Nears First Hurdle

The Senate will discuss this week whether or not to add the DREAM Act to a defense spending bill, and people across the country are mobilizing in support of the legislation.

Huffington Post reported on a call-in campaign by a Chicago immigrant rights group, and Reform Immigration for America has publicized a national list of rallies and vigils.

Local DREAM Act supporters will gather in Manhattan on Tuesday and Wednesday. See the info below:


NEW YORK CITY RALLY

What? Rally and March for the Dream Act

When? September 21st

Who? NYSYLC and other students, parents, teachers, professors, and you

Where? Meet at NYC public library (41st and 5th) at noon, march to Schumer’s at 1pm; press conf at 1:30pm
