Two friends of Jeffrey Conroy, accused killer of Marcelo Lucero, testified today at his trial about neo-Nazi tattoos on his body according to the Associated Press.

Alyssa Sprague, who Newsday says befriended Conroy about two weeks before the killing, testified that Conroy came by her house earlier on November 8, 2008, the day of the murder. He showed her a lightning bolt tattoo. “I thought it was the Gatorade symbol and he said no, it was white power.”

A second friend, Keith Brunjes said he had applied the lightening bolt tattoo and tattooed a swastika on Conroy’s arm. According to Newsday, Conroy told Brunjes after he got the swastika tattoo “If I ever go to jail, I’m screwed.”
