A panel composed of three judges from the U.S. Court of Appeals for the 9th Circuit will consider whether or not to reverse a preliminary injunction stopping the execution of the Arizona immigration law SB 1070 after an appeals hearing by the State of Arizona concluded today.

Whatever ruling the three judge panel makes, the losing side, or sides, can petition for a re-hearing by all the judges of the 9th Circuit. Following a final decision by the court, the losing side may then file for a writ from the Supreme Court for review.
