The Salt Lake Tribune has information on one of the two women accused of compiling a list of undocumented immigrants in Utah. Teresa Bassett worked for the state for fifteen years before she became involved in the release of confidential information about Latinos. She was a computer specialist earning approximately $69,000 per year. According to the Salt Lake City newspaper:

A state investigation has found that information from the DWS database was methodically compiled over several months into a 29-page spreadsheet with 1,300 names, addresses, birth dates, phone numbers and, in some cases, Social Security numbers and places of employment of people purported to be in the country illegally.
