Immigrant Rights March in Hempstead, May 1 [En Español]

An immigrant rights march calling for the end of the Secure Communities immigration enforcement program will take place in Hempstead on Sunday, May 1, at 11am.

Sponsored by The Workplace Project, the march is scheduled to begin at the intersection of Franklin and Front streets and then proceed to a stage at Fulton and Washington streets.

At 2:30pm, a bus will take participants to a separate immigrant rights rally in Manhattan.
