Around 3:30pm this afternoon, the jury in the trial of Jeffrey Conroy heard a read-back of Angel Loja’s testimony about the alleged attack by Conroy and the other defendants on November 8, 2008.
The selection that the jury asked to hear was from Loja’s testimony on direct examination. Thus far, the jury hasn’t asked to hear any testimony elicited during defense attorney William Keahon’s direct or cross examinations of witnesses.
Loja testified that he was walking near the Patchogue train station with Marcelo Lucero when they encountered a group of young men, who Loja said looked “furious.”

Around 4pm, the Lucero family—Marcelo’s mother, brother, and sister—arrived at the courtroom, along with other supporters. However, I haven’t heard any indication that the jury has reached a verdict.
