Minutemen call for less hate-crime coverage

Saying they support Suffolk Executive Steve Levy for President, about a dozen members of the Minuteman militia organization and their supporter protested outside Newsday today calling for less coverage of hate crimes in Suffolk County.
A spokesman for the protesters said of Marcelo Lucero “That kid, the Hispanic, didn’t deserve to die”.
One protester was particularly upset that Newsday had covered the return of Lucero’s body to his family in Ecuador. The protester said: “And then to go down to Ecuador to cover the funeral… Oh my God, oh my God.”
I know you think I’m making this stuff up. I’m not. Just go check the link above.
And these are the guys Steve Levy used to turn to for immigration policy advice. What a sad state of affairs.
