More Tea Party/Anti-Immigrant Connection
The big, and really expensive, Tea Party Convention, for which Sarah Palin will be paid a whopping six figure fee for an hour of speaking, was being backed by the anti-immigrant group Federation for American Immigration Reform (FAIR). Word has come that FAIR has dropped its support for the profit-making venture which is widely being denounced as a scam designed to separate tea-partiers from their $569 price of admission.
The tea parties are supposed to be grassroots affairs, so why was a beltway lobbying outfit whose tea parties typically serve Earl Grey? Because Astroturf ops like FAIR are always looking to “grass” their support with people other than the militia-types the Minutemen typically turn out.
