Nassau County Police Find “KKK” Graffiti in Elmont

Detectives from the Nassau County Police Department are investigating graffiti that appeared in Elmont on April 5 bearing the letters “KKK.”

From the police department:

The Fifth Squad reports the details of two bias incidents that occurred in Elmont on Tuesday April 5, 2011 at 11:47PM and 11:57PM.

According to detectives, an unknown male subject spray painted “KKK this storore, KKK is ridahore” on the building and parking lot of the Smart Stop Deli at 139 Hempstead Turnpike. At J and M Service Recovery 129 Hempstead Turnpike the same subject spray painted “KKK is Ridahore now KKlaim” on the black top driveway. Video surveillance revealed the subject to be a male black wearing a ski cap, white nylon coat, dark colored pants and carrying a bag with a shoulder strap.

Detectives request anyone with information regarding this crime to contact Nassau County Crime Stoppers at 1-800-244-TIPS. All callers will remain anonymous.
