The Associated Press reports that the “Fremont [Nebraska] City Council suspended the ban during a meeting late Tuesday, less than two days before it was set to take effect. The ordinance is being challenged in court, and council members say suspending it will save the city money in legal costs.”

Kris Kobach, who drafted Arizona’s SB 1070, wrote the Fremont law as well. He has also worked as a $300 per hour consusltant to Sheriff Joe Arpaio.
