New Report Shows Top Adviser to Gov. Brewer Stood To Gain Financially From SB 1070
Local Arizona media has broken the story of the involvement of a top adviser to Arizona Gov. Jan Brewer in financial correction to Corrections Corporation of America (CCA). CCA runs the immigration prisons in Arizona and would benefit greatly if the inmate population were to suddenly increase if SB 1070 goes into effect.
Brewer’s campaign pulled ads from the television station that has spearheaded the investigation, a move that has drawn national attention:
