The public campaign for comprehensive immigration reform began this week with are variety of events in hundreds of locales around the country. These ranged from visits to Congressional offices to rallies and vigils.
A rally yesterday in Aurora Colorado drew hundreds of people. At the same time in Michigan, 350 people rallied at a Lutherna Church in Grand Rapids to kick-off the campaign in that state.
In Chicago, dozens of activists boarded a bus that took them to nine Congressional offices around the city where they will make the case for reform. The day will end with a rally tonight.
In Homestead, Florida, six advocates have begun a hunger strike to call for an end to raids and comprehensive immigration reform.
