Same-Sex Families Get Respect in Menendez Immigration Bill

The comprehensive immigration reform bill introduced hours ago by Sen. Menendez includes equal immigration rights for same-sex couples. There are believed to be 24,000 married couples in the US that would benefit from this provision. Some Catholic and Evangelical supporters of immigration reform have expressed reservations about supporting a bill that conferred equal rights upon homosexuals.
