Senate Vote on DREAM Act Anticipated in Next Few Hours

Immigration activists in Washington, DC, believe that a Senate vote on the DREAM Act will happen in the next few hours, America’s Voice reports. As it stands, the bill doesn’t appear to have the support among senators that would be necessary for passage, but activists are still lobbying on the Hill.

According to one America’s Voice update, a revised version of the DREAM Act will save taxpayers even more money than the original:

UPDATE - 3:05 PM EST: Show us the $$: With a new version of the DREAM Act filed yesterday, the Congressional Budge Office and Joint Committee on Taxation now estimate that enacting the bill would reduce deficits by about $2.2 billion in 10 years, even more than the original $1.4 billion expected,
