Sixth Juror Selected in Jeffrey Conroy Trial

A sixth juror has been selected in the trial of Jeffrey Conroy, the teen accused of stabbing and killing Ecuadorian immigrant Marcelo Lucero, according to a spokesman from the district attorney’s office.

After five jurors were selected last Thursday, none were selected yesterday, and one was selected today.

Since jury selection started, I’ve blogged about jurors being excused because of their immigration views. Today, Manny Fernandez of The New York Times also reported on the “struggle to find tolerance” among the jury pool.

The selection process will resume tomorrow at 10am.
