State cops to investigate Pa. racial killing

The State Police are taking over the investigation of the beating death of Mexican immigrant Luis Ramirez, and it couldn’t come a moment too soon. Ramirez has been dead for nearly two weeks and numerous witnesses saw the young football players who killed him while shouting anti-immigrant epithets, and yet the local cops have not made any arrests. In fact they have frequently spoken about protecting the privacy of the killers!
In a strange case of projection, some Whites in the town where the killing occured have circulated rumors that Latino mobs will engage in retaliatory attacks. So far, though, only native-born have resorted to mob violence.
