“What Killed Marcelo Lucero?”—a piece of interactive theater meant to get the audience thinking and talking about immigration tensions on Long Island—will kick off its spring run at Suffolk Community College’s Brentwood campus on Monday, March 15, at 7pm.

This spring, the play, which has been covered by the New York Times, will invite advocates to the stage to help facilitate discussions about immigration and hate crimes on Long Island. Long Island Wins, the Long Island Immigrant Alliance, and the local 1199 SEIU are all partnering on the project.
