A march and rally for immigration reform will take place in Hempstead on May 1, 2010, in conjunction with dozens of other rallies around the country on that day.
The march will begin assembling on the corner of Front St. and North Franklin St. at 11am and will step off at noon. Marchers will arrive at the parking lot at Fulton and Washington at 12:30pm for a rally expected to last until 2pm. There will be speakers and music at the rally.
Those wishing to make a day of it can board a bus at 2:30pm to join a rally in Manhattan. There is a fee for the bus.

There will also be an East End rally for immigration reform on Saturday, May 1, 12:30 pm at Lola Prentice Park -151 Windmill Lane, Southampton
(just north of the Rogers Memorial Library and the Village police station; diagonally across from Waldbaums) PARKING —turn into the Village Police parking lot, go to the top of the hill and park on the grass- or park in the Waldbaum’s lot and walk across the street.
