Patrick Young is the Program Director of the Central American Refugee Center in Hempstead and Brentwood. He is also the Supervising Attorney of the Legal Office of the Westchester Hispanic Coalition with office in White Plains and Mount Vernon. He is currently Special Profeesor of Law at Hofstra University School of Law where he teaches immigration law.
Mr. Young is the founding chairperson on the Long Island Immigrant Alliance, one of America's first suburban immigrant coalitions, where he currently serves as Vice Chair. He served for seven years as the Chaiperson of the New York Immigration Coalition, the nation's largest statewide immigration coalition. He is a member of the boards of directors of the New York Immigration Coalition and the Coordinating Agency for Hispanics of Nassau County (Nassau CASA). He was a cofounder of the national Committee for U.S. Action on Asylum Concerns,which later became part of the National Immigration Forum.
